John Fugitt, Owner of SharpSigns in Springfield,
Missouri, has successfully
progressed in the sign and advertising business. John started the business in
1996 and was instrumental in its development. SharpSigns has had tremendous
success in the retail market; however, recently changed its focus to the
wholesale digital printing business which has been experiencing tremendous
growth, locally and nationally.
With an eye to the future, John provides the leadership to improve and expand
business, by providing the highest quality digital imaging, printing and
signage for other sign companies, ad agencies, and printing companies around
the country.
In 1996, John led SharpSigns of Springfield as a young businessman all while
finishing his high school education at Republic High School
as an 18-year-old senior. Under John’s direction, SharpSigns of Springfield was
awarded the SharpSigns 1996 “Store of the Year” and “Best Marketing Plan.” The
following year his store earned the “President’s Club” award and the “Marketing
Award.” SharpSigns of Springfield was honored with the “Marketing Award” for
1998 and 2000, the last year such awards were presented.
John’s involvement in his community is evidenced by his membership in the Springfield, Nixa,
Republic, and Ozark Chambers of Commerce. He was an ambassador in the
Springfield Chamber of Commerce for a period of one year. As a member of the
Nixa Chamber of Commerce, he helped create and develop their ambassador program
and was himself an executive ambassador. His leadership roles have made him an
outstanding, young businessman with high ethics and morals. John has also been a member of the Business
Builders Breakfast Club for 11 years and has been involved with the Springfield
Jaycees as well. He was also recently
named one of the National Register’s “Who’s Who in Executives and
Professionals” for 2004-2005. The National Register recognizes all individuals
who have achieved substantial success in their respective fields.
The professional development of John and SharpSigns is
established with their expertise being published several times by the Sign
Business Magazine, the leading publication for sign companies across the nation.
Currently, John is an active member of Springfield’s
Best, an organization that maintains a membership of quality, reputable,
locally owned companies and to provide resources and support to increase the
recognition of the members and their volume of quality business. He served on the Board of Directors for the
2006-2007 term for the organization. John’s
emphasis is marketing plan development, directing the internet phase of
business and continually developing SharpSigns as a digital imaging leader in
the industry. John’s current focus is
not only the retail side of SharpSigns, but continuing to develop and implement
the wholesale division of his company.
John’s mission is to promote SharpSigns as the premier provider for wholesale
digital printing on a regional and national level.
